Mr. Caffee has extensive experience in corporate finance, securities law matters as well as in the formation and related compliance matters of investment partnerships. His practice includes the representation of technology and emerging growth companies, securities professionals and investors in the wide variety of legal matters that affect their businesses. Mr. Caffee is a founding partner of White Summers Caffee & James, LLP Pacific Northwest Office and was voted the Best of the Bar in Securities Regulation by the Portland Business Journal in 2005. He was Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Securities Regulation Section of the Oregon State Bar in 1997. He taught Securities Regulation and Mergers and Acquisitions at the University of Oregon School of Law, and Securities Regulations at Northwestern School of Law at Lewis and Clark College as an Adjunct Professor. Mr. Caffee holds the AV Preeminent Martindale-Hubbard Peer Review rating, the highest rating awarded by that organization. Prior to joining White Summers in 2000, Mr. Caffee was the lead partner in the securities law practice of the Portland firm of Dunn Carney Allen Higgins & Tongue LLP. He was a former securities examiner with the Oregon Corporation Commission, and has been an expert witness on securities law matters on numerous occasions in Oregon courts.
